In case you missed it, the popular kiosk at L’Ancresse East has reopened for the summer, and will be there seven days a week until 30 September – although new tenant Sandy Brassell would like to continue next year depending on what happens to the anti-tank wall project in the meantime, given the strength of opposition to its removal.

At its last meeting, members of the Vale Douzaine decided that more information should be made available to parishioners about what the Constables and Douzeniers do on behalf of the parish. As a result, and as a first step, a summary of the Douzaine's deliberations will be published here shortly after the regular meeting, usually held on the last Monday of the month.
