Ruby's a Jubilee winner

When cancer charity Look Good Feel Better asked its UK-wide volunteers to send in their favourite Platinum Jubilee celebration pictures for a ‘best of’ competition, this one of six-year-old Ruby Day carried off one of two first prizes.

Taken at the Vale and St Sampson’s joint Jamboree at L'Islet, Ruby was pictured "meeting" the Queen, which both of them clearly loved!

Mum Racheal, who is lead volunteer of the Guernsey branch of the charity, was as delighted as Ruby and the rest of the family – including Ruby's Norfolk-based grandma.

"When she saw the picture she thought Ruby really had met the Queen!" joked Racheal.
