School committee member sought

An election is to be held later this month for a member of La Mare de Carteret Primary Parochial School Committee and nominations for the single seat available are now being invited.
A vacancy has arisen to complete the unexpired term of office of the Rev Stuart Tanswell, the Vale Rector, who has now left the island.
Applications must be made on a form available from the Constables' Office and, when. completed, returned to the office no later than 4pm on Monday 17 January.
The election itself, for electors of the parish, will be held at the Douzaine Room, Maraitaine Road, on Wednesday 19 January at 7pm.
