Six contesting five seats at Vale parish elections

Six candidates are contesting five douzenier seats in the forthcoming Vale Parish elections and new faces are guaranteed because two douzeniers have decided to stand down.

Dean of the Douzaine Rosemary Henry is not seeking re-election and neither is Jon Bond, while Terry Ashworth and Anne Setters wish to continue serving.

With the period for nominations having closed, the position is as follows:

For the office of Douzenier, four seats and one seat to complete a term:

The elections will be held at at the Vale Douzaine Room, Maraitaine Road on Tuesday 4th November 2025 at 7.30pm and is for electors only. 

Afterwards, the meeting will go on to consider the following agenda, to:

  • Elect Auditors for the Constables accounts for 2025.
  • Fix the time at which Parish Meetings shall be held in 2026.
  • Discuss contributions to school library books.
  • Consider installing solar panels to the Douzaine room.
  • Take all such measures as the Electors and Ratepayers may deem advisable.

This part of the meeting is open to all electors and ratepayers in the parish.
