Deputy McKenna to attend first douzaine surgery tomorrow

Fri 27 Mar 2026

Deputy Liam McKenna has confirmed that he will be a guest at the first Vale Douzeniers' Surgery on Saturday morning and all parishioners are invited to pop in to discuss the local issues that matter to them most.

Deputy McKenna, pictured, is one of the States members who lives in the Vale and he has expressed his support for the drop-in chat format, which is being piloted by the Vale Douzaine.

Other douzeniers will be there as well to hear feedback from residents and to see what can be done to address concerns.

The first session starts at 10am until 11am at the Vale Douzaine Room at Maraitaine Road and there's plenty of parking.

"The request for surgeries was made at the last parish meeting and considered recently by the douzaine," said Senior Constable John Niles. "There were quite a few views about it so we decided to test the water and see how much demand there is for them."

A further four surgeries have also been scheduled – for 25th April, 16th May, 27th June and 25th July.
