It's a turn on with a Northern display

Festive lights on the Bridge were officially turned on last evening - and the Vale Douzaine is playing its part in the much loved annual event.

Pictured below is the display in the refurbished building at the Vale Road, North Quay junction, looked after by the Bridge Floral Group, while the Vale Douzaine has also put up its traditional Christmas tree outside its offices, where it can also be enjoyed by residents of La Nouvelle Maritaine.

The decorations on the Bridge itself have been put up by the Bridge Traders Association Christmas Lights Committee, care of Ray and Scott, who work hard to ensure the lights stay on every year.

The headline in the Guernsey Press today (above) shows how many children and parents turned out for this important annual event on the Bridge.
