For this month's surgery that was Bruno Kay-Mouat, who fielded questions on matters ranging from dangerous roads – particularly the Vale's Braye Road – to island-wide voting.
In all, 14 people including douzeniers attended the event at the Douzaine Room in Maraitaine Road and appeared to enjoy the session on Saturday morning.
The next surgery will be held at 10am on Saturday 27th June, with the final one in this pilot scheme on 25th July.
Those attending took the opportunity raise issues that had been in the news recently, including the state of the service currently being provided by the States Revenue Service and what was regarded as the alarming cost of dealing with chemical contaminant PFOS at the Airport.
Scruffy
With the wet weather and spring growth, the problem of "scruffy verges" being choked with uncut weeds was also highlighted, along with the on-going problem of untreated sewage being pumped into the sea from Fort George.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the cost of accommodation and the amount of building proposed for the north of the island, housing and affordable homes was raised.
Concerns about the impact and loss of parish representation led to a discussion on island-wide voting, along with the poor turnout for the recent by-election, which saw deputy-elect Ross Le Brun returned with 953 votes.
The guest for the next surgery will be announced at a later date.
