Vale parish allotments continue blooming

La Haute Lande Vinery allotments have been running since 2010 and have been owned by Jane King since 2020. During that time, the number of outdoor plots has increased, and a large greenhouse on the site has been tidied, improved and divided into additional plots available to rent.

The site is run by Jane, who has enjoyed developing the area into a welcoming community for like-minded tenants who value quiet time tending their plots and growing their own produce.

Water is supplied from a borehole connected to centrally located taps for tenants’ use. However, supply cannot be guaranteed during particularly dry weather, so tenants are asked to use water sparingly and with consideration for others. 

Sizes
Allotment plots come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with rental costs priced accordingly. Rentals run annually from January to December for those wishing to continue, and a waiting list is held to fill spaces as they become available.

The allotments are situated at La Haute Lande Vinery, Les Abreuveurs, with a choice of outdoor plots or plots inside the greenhouse. Parking is available on site.
