Wanted: your views on the island's election

Tue 29 Jul 2025

What did you think of the General Election, which returned a new States of Guernsey under the island's second experience of island-wide voting? Vale residents are being asked to share their experiences of the process in a new survey.

Newly elected States members outside the Royal Court

It has been commissioned by the Registrar-General of Electors, Colette Falla, and the results will be used to help identify potential improvements.

The Vale had one polling station at Les Maingys and there were a number of complaints that the Vale Douzaine room wasn't available as in previous elections.

Ms Falla said: "The 2025 General Election went smoothly but we are always trying to think of ways to improve the voter experience. To do this, we need to hear from the electorate and we would urge as many people as possible to complete the survey, which should take only around five minutes."

The link to the survey is here: https://gov.gg/ElectionSurvey2025

  • Paper copies are also available the Vale Douzaine room or at Sir Charles Frossard House, Edward T Wheadon House.
