Vale parishioners are being encouraged to complete a survey that will help inform new proposals about how the whole Bridge area could be improved – from road signage to housing development or new marinas.

The Vale parish is holding an election for four douzeniers tomorrow, Wednesday the 15th. There are six candidates and if you live in the Vale and are on the electoral roll, you need to go to the polling station at the Vale Douzaine Room between 8am and 8pm to vote.

Changes are needed to the way deferred elections for douzeniers can be requested at parish meetings, Vale Senior Constable Richard Leale has said. He is now pressing the authorities to consider amending the law on this.
